Climate Library

Digital Climate Library is an unprecedented partnership between the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Arts Help, setting a new standard for global climate transparency and accessibility. The Digital Climate Library is dedicated to preserving the world’s most comprehensive climate archives, dating back to the UNFCCC’s founding in 1992. This monumental project involves digitizing 200 terabytes of historical data, including 25,000 hours of audiovisual recordings and 1.7 million pages of critical documents, ensuring that the legacy of climate action is accessible to all.

Officially presented at COP 28, the Digital Climate Library transforms climate history into a public resource, empowering policymakers, researchers, educators, and activists worldwide. By merging technology and the arts, this groundbreaking initiative exemplifies how innovation can safeguard our planet’s future, providing an essential tool for those advocating for meaningful change.
